Ranjith Paranivasagam is a finance professional, entrepreneur, broadcaster, public speaker, community leader, and proud husband and father of two. He is running for Regional Councillor in Ajax Ward 2 because he believes local leadership should be accessible, accountable, and focused on the people who call the community home.
Throughout his career, Ranjith has worked with individuals, families, businesses, community organizations, and diverse audiences. From finance and business to broadcasting, public speaking, and community service, these experiences have given him a broad perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing families and communities today.
As a husband and father, Ranjith understands the importance of safe neighbourhoods, responsible growth, strong infrastructure, vibrant communities, and opportunities for families to thrive.
Above all, Ranjith believes leadership starts with listening. It means understanding different perspectives, being accessible to residents, making responsible decisions, and following through on the commitments made to the community.

Experience That Works for Ajax
Ranjith brings extensive experience in finance, accounting, auditing, risk management, governance, and business to his candidacy for Regional Councillor.
During his career at the Bank of Montreal, Ranjith held progressive roles in finance, risk and controls, and internal audit. His experience includes financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, risk management, internal controls, governance, and regulatory requirements. Today, as an accounting and tax consultant and licensed real estate broker, he continues to work directly with individuals, families, and businesses.
This experience has taught him the importance of asking the right questions, understanding the numbers, managing risk, and making decisions based on facts. For Ajax taxpayers, that means a representative who understands that every tax dollar matters and every spending decision deserves accountability.
Ranjith also brings experience in community governance and project leadership. As a former Board Director and Finance Committee Chair/Treasurer with the Boys and Girls Club of East Scarborough, he helped provide financial oversight and responsible stewardship for an organization supporting children and youth. Earlier in his career, he also served as a Project Officer with People in Need in Sri Lanka, helping oversee housing projects for families displaced by the Indian Ocean Tsunami.
Combined with more than a decade of experience in broadcasting, television, public speaking, and event hosting, Ranjith has developed the ability to listen, communicate clearly, work with diverse perspectives, and bring people together.
He believes effective leadership requires more than ideas. It requires sound judgment, responsible financial management, collaboration, clear communication, and the ability to turn priorities into practical results.
That is the experience Ranjith wants to bring to Ajax Ward 2.
